A Nottingham construction business has secured a £250,000 loan from MEIF Maven Debt Finance.

LJ General Builders will use the funding to accelerate its growth plans following a new contract with Nottingham Community Housing Association.

The Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) Debt Finance, managed by Maven Capital Partners, provided the boost to the general builders company which undertakes residential and commercial property builds, renovations and extensions.

The loan will support the company’s expansion plans, enabling it to finance a new contract to build several properties for the Nottingham Community Housing Association.

LJ Builders managing director Leigh Shorrock said: “We are delighted to receive this funding boost to enable us to execute our growth plans.

“Winning the bid for the social housing development on behalf of the Nottingham Community Housing Association has opened the doors for the next growth stage for us and we’re looking forward to this new chapter.”
